“An exciting conclusion will satisfy young mystery fans, though the book excels when focusing on Mattie’s internal journey. Author Yardi’s love for nature shines through in this quiet but quirky story about friendship, family, and of course, donuts.”

I’m a CHILDREN'S BOOK AUTHOR, teacher, and a mom. I live in California with chickens, koi fish, a Giant tortoise, and a very bossy cat. I've had a pink parakeet, a tree frog, a box turtle (who met a tragic end), a peahen, and a pug. I love bugs, bats, slugs, snails, and sharks. I’m usually staring out a window or on a nice long walk.
