I’m a CHILDREN'S BOOK AUTHOR, teacher, and a mom. I live in California with some chickens, turkeys, koi fish, a Giant Sulcata tortoise, and a very bossy cat. I've had a pink parakeet, a tree frog, a box turtle (who met a tragic end), a peahen, and a pug.

“Doughn’t miss this earnest tale.”
-Kirkus Reviews
“An exciting conclusion will satisfy young mystery fans, though the book excels when focusing on Mattie’s internal journey. Author Yardi’s love for nature shines through in this quiet but quirky story about friendship, family, and of course, donuts.”
